Sano now open in Merchant Square

We are delighted to welcome Sano, a hugely popular pizzeria known for its Neapolitan-style sourdough pizza to the line up at Merchant Square. Sano Pizza, which opened its first spot in the city in Finnieston, says the new restaurant in the Merchant City is its biggest yet.

Sano was founded by twin brothers Raymond and Tony MacHugh, who were inspired to "bring the taste of Naples" to Glasgow after a life-changing visit to the Italian city. The Merchant Square venue boasts sleek interior styling inspired by the street art and graffiti of Naples.

Using the finest traditional ingredients sourced from Italy, handmade pizza dough is carefully proven for 48 hours before expert Pizzaiolos bake them in an intense 450-degree heat to create a light, delicious crust.

The Merchant Square branch also features a unique Pizza Slice Van, and it’s very own pizza takeaway.

Grab a slice next time you visit Merchant Square - you won’t be disappointed!
